Yahoo Says See-ya to Mobile Banner Ads

Okay, okay, so we know digital banners aren’t necessarily the most exciting thing to talk about (especially on a Monday morning), but we think it’s worth noting that Yahoo is switching up their mobile ad strategy. Yahoo announced last week plans to stop serving traditional banner ads on mobile devices and move to a more native format where ads are embedded within a stream of content. Yahoo is keeping fingers crossed that this new format will lead to increases in engagement the way it has for both Facebook and Twitter.
